The Insurance Ombudsman is appointed under the Insurance Ombudsman Rules 2017 by IRDAI. There are 17 Ombudsman offices across India. They can award compensation up to Rs. 50 lakhs in life insurance cases and resolve disputes between policyholders and insurers. WHEN CAN YOU APPROACH OMBUDSMAN? 1. Claim rejected by insurer 2.
